I don’t usually rant much on here, but I have to say something about this. Because, OMFG, this scene. THIS SCENE. I can’t even put into words how much I loathed it.
I didn’t mind Sookie choosing herself since I don’t want her and Eric to start ~dating~ (blech), and I’d rather get punched in the face than have to watch her and Bill together again. I can even sort of look past her forgiving Bill (I say “sort of” ‘cause it’s completely unbelievable to me that she would have forgiven him after, what, a week and a half?).
BUT, “I hope you can forgive me”?
What. The. Fuck. Forgive her for what? Being way nicer to him this season than he deserved? Lying to protect Eric from Bill’s power trip and petty jealousy? Getting beat up by two people while Bill watched from the bushes? Jesus Christ.
Also, Bill only lied to protect her? And Eric liedmore times that she can count? Are these writers even watching their own show? Were we supposed to cheer for Sookie, or want her to contact a therapist asap? SO MANY QUESTIONS.
I have a lot of problems with the finale and the fourth season in general, but this one take the cake. I used to have fun watching this show (I even enjoyed season 3, for the most part), but now all it does is piss me off. To be honest, at this point I kinda wish Alexander could just quit this mess and put me out of my misery. Yeah, I’d be a bit sad because I do adore Eric (and a few other characters), but with TB the bad outweighs the good so much it’s ridiculous. And it breaks my heart to say this, ‘cause I used to really love this show.
